Needs: Pakn Treger publishes original work of high quality that explores aspects of modern Jewish experience and sensibility. Our interests are in Jewish cultural identity and history, with an emphasis on Yiddish culture. Nonfiction, fiction, essays, translations from Yiddish literature, photographs, and artwork are welcome. We do not accept poetry at this time. Articles typically run from 2,000 to 4,000 words. Multiple submissions are acceptable, if so indicated. Allow three to four months for a response.
