Rights: The publishing rights we ask for: One-Time Electronic rights, First Serial Rights and First World Rights for a period of three (3) months. You also agree to have your work archived by us since back issues are always available. At the end of the three

Needs: Stories that disturb, eviscerate and horrify. Don't send us that story which has been rejected by every magazine, online and print. We're looking for fresh, new horror.

Content: Sex, violence and language are fine, but these shouldn't be used purely for shock value and should be in context. There should be a good story there in the midst. No explicit rape or child abuse scenes will be tolerated. I could give examples, but I shouldn't have to, right?

Length: Stories should be a minimum of 3000 words. Maximum is 5000 (with room for a 100-200 word overflow, if need be).

Art/Photo Needs: Interior illustrations b/w: 4x7 (7 being height) Regular color cover: 6x9 (9 being height)

DEADLINES:

Dec. 5 for the winter issue March 5 for the spring issue June 5 for the summer issue Sept. 5 for the fall issue

Payment: Payment is made on publication. If your story is accepted, we will be in contact with you to find out where to send the money.

Rates:

$10 USD per short story + 1 electronic copy of the magazine

$25 USD per black and white interior artwork + 1 electronic copy of the magazine

$100 USD per color cover + 1 electronic copy of the magazine

How to Submit: Submissions are open until the end of the reading period. We do not accept simultaneous submissions. Please query first about reprints. Response times can be as long as a couple of months. Submission implies permission to print your story.

Please follow the instructions below when submitting:

Submissions should be sent via email to submissions@corpsemag.com.

Currently, .doc (Word), .rtf (Rich Text Format), and .txt (Text) formats are accepted (Word is preferred). Only single spaced with a carriage return between paragraphs, non indented please, or we'll have to sic the zombies after you.

Please add page numbers centered at the bottom of the page.

Any breaks between scenes, places or times should be marked by a centered "***" (without the quote marks). The words "The End" should appear at the end of your story. In your email, please give your name as you would like it to appear, word count and any other information you think we'll need.

Response Time: Usually 1-2 weeks. Please query if no answer after 60 days.

Tips for Writers: Please run a spell check and proofread before submitting to us. While an occasional typo is all right, we aren't an editing service, and such flaws may cause your story to be rejected.
