Rights: All worldwide book rights, with the exception of books comprised solely of the author's original works, and archival rights for specified period of time. Author retains serial (periodicals), film, radio, live performance, and other rights.

Needs: Stories must be true, original, inspiring or uplifting, written in third or first person, and in English.

Preference given to anecdotal and emotionally evocative creative nonfiction stories and narrative essays. Please, no poetry, journalistic articles, commentaries, profiles, eulogies, letters, journal entries, diatribes, composition papers, book chapters, or fiction.

Length: 1000-2000 words

Art/Photo Needs: No art, photography, or graphics.

Payment: $500 grand prize per book/contest; $100 each for all other published stories. Upon publication. Contributors receives byline and free copy of book.

How to Submit: Include author name, mailing address, phone number, email address (if applicable), and story title on each submission. Choose *one* of the following submission methods:

Response Time: Submission window for each book is usually open 9 to 12 months; finalists are notified in writing prior to publication.

Tips for Writers: Show, don't tell.
Write lean--make every word count.
Write scenes.
Use active verbs and vivid descriptions.
Write from the heart. Tell a personal story about universal themes, emotions.
