Needs: The deadline for issue #2 is July 15, 2004. The theme for Issue #2 is Broken Things. Broken vows, broken truces, broken spirits or broken boneswrite about anything the theme inspires for you.
Short stories up to 3,000 words
Flash fiction up to 1,000 words
And So It Begins contest: Write a flash fiction story of up to 500 words that begins with the first sentence: They say he was born without fingernails.
Length: See specific categories for length requirements.
Art/Photo Needs: Photo-essay A series of up to ten photographs with captions of any length relating to the theme.

Response Time: Approximately 4-6 weeks after submission deadline.
Tips for Writers: Please make sure that your submission fits with the theme of the issue to which you are submitting. It can be loosely related to the theme -- but there has to be some connection.
